Who we are. Deskbound Athlete is owned and operated by Tim Olson, PO Box 71053, Salt Lake City, UT 84171, info@deskboundathlete.com. This notice covers this website at quietfeet.app and deskboundathlete.com. The QuietFeet and Deskbound Athlete apps will have their own privacy notices when they launch.

What we collect.

• When you join early access: your email address, the products you're interested in, your role, your main sport if you choose one, which of our two web addresses you used, the time you agreed to receive email and the words you agreed to, when we sent you the email that confirms your address, and the time you confirmed it.
• When you email us: your address and what you write.
• When you visit: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical information every website request carries — such as your IP address and browser type — to deliver and protect the site, and shows us only totals — visits, countries, and pages — never any one visitor. We set no cookies of our own, run no analytics or advertising scripts, and load nothing from any other company's servers. If you choose a theme other than your device's, your browser keeps that one choice for this site, on your device; it is never sent to us, and choosing your device's theme again, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes it. Only if Cloudflare detects an attack on the site may it briefly show a security check that sets its own short-lived cookie, which we neither read nor use.

How we use it. To email you about early access and news of the products you chose; to understand, in totals only, how many people visit, which pages they read, and which products, sports, and roles interest people — totals we may share with investors and partners, never your details; to answer you; and to keep the site secure.

Who we share it with. Only the service providers that run the site and our email for us: Cloudflare (hosting, and the early-access list), Postmark (which sends the email that confirms your address, keeps it for 7 days, and keeps a record of any address that bounces or complains so it stops sending to it), InMotion Hosting (our mailboxes), and MailChannels (which relays the email we send from them). If we add an email-list provider, we will name it here first. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it. An unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 7 days, and a confirmed one 12 months after you join, or sooner when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. So that the form can't be used to flood someone's inbox, we keep a separate record of each attempt to send a confirmation email — its time and a code made from your address, never the address itself — for 30 days, even after the sign-up is deleted. Our database provider keeps an automatic recovery copy for 7 days, so a deleted entry is gone from it within 7 days of deletion. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up; a request for early access sent by email is kept 12 months, like a sign-up, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices. Every email we send to the list says how to unsubscribe — a reply to that email is enough — and we act on it within 2 days. To see, correct, or delete what we hold, email privacy@deskboundathlete.com; we reply within 30 days.

Children. This website is for adults: parents, coaches, adult athletes, and partners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We do not track you across websites and allow no one else to, so a Do Not Track signal has nothing to turn off. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, which we never do.

Security. The early-access list is kept in an access-controlled database that only the owner can read.

Nevada and California residents. We do not sell personal information, including Nevada "covered information", and we never will. Our designated address for any request about the sale of your information — or anything else in this notice — is privacy@deskboundathlete.com; we answer within 30 days (Nevada allows 60). California's online privacy law and Nevada's ask us to tell you the categories we collect and share (above), how you can review and correct your information (above), how we announce changes, and whether others track you across sites over time (they don't); California's also asks how we handle Do Not Track (above).

Changes. We post every change here with a new effective date, and we email the list about any material change before it takes effect.
